1. Partial Amendment of the Detailed Rules on Performance and Standards of Automobiles and Automobile Parts
The recent amendments to the Detailed Rules on Performance and Standards of Automobiles and Parts introduce a new section to improve safety testing for core automotive components:
- Table 6 Update: A new item, "13. Safety Testing of Core Components," has been added.
- Drive Battery Testing (Section 13.1): This regulation applies to drive batteries and other core components in automobiles and motorcycles subject under Safety Standard Article 112-14. Each section details the safety testing methods required to meet compliance standards.
2. Partial Amendment of the Regulations on Certification and Investigation of Automobiles and Parts
The Certification and Investigation Regulations for automobiles and parts now include key updates to strengthen regulatory compliance:
- Specification Management Numbers: New standards for assigning specification management numbers to core automotive components.
- Detailed Provisions: Added requirements for identification numbers, safety performance testing for safety certification, and conformity inspection
Effective Date
This amendment will come into effect on February 17, 2025.
