The National Radio Research Agency, known as RRA, and the Korea Radio Promotion Association, referred to as RAPA, jointly organized the 2023 Global Wireless Power Transfer Conference on November 14.
This conference is an annual event held to enhance information exchange and foster communication and collaboration among domestic and international stakeholders in the latest wireless power transfer technologies, services, standardization, regulations, and related areas.
Wireless power transfer technology is gaining attention as a next-generation innovation in wireless technology, allowing the transmission of electric energy in space without the need for wires. This technology is recognized for its freedom and convenience compared to traditional wiring, and it is expanding into various fields such as mobile phones, electric vehicles, robots, wireless charging for medical devices, contributing to the emergence and growth of a new digital economy.
At this conference, three sessions were held covering Wireless Power Transfer Policies and Standardization, Wireless Power Transfer Technologies and Products, and Future Technologies and Services in Wireless Power Transfer. Alongside 13 presentations on various topics, the event actively facilitated technical exchanges by showcasing products integrating the latest wireless power transfer technologies. Additionally, experts in the field from Europe and Japan were invited to provide insights into the technologies and services of major advanced countries.
National Radio Research Agency, referred to as RRA, expressed expectations that this conference would strengthen the leading commercialization and global competitiveness of wireless power transfer technology through the exchange of technical expertise held by domestic research institutions and industries.
