On August 18th, 2023, ENACOM issued Resolution 1134/2023

We wanted to inform you about a recent development. On August 18th, 2023, ENACOM issued Resolution 1134/2023, which has expanded the band allocation for radar technology. The exciting news is that level probing radars are now permitted to operate within the 76-81 GHz band.

Level probing radars are now allowed in the 76-81 GHz band.

● Maximum Equivalent Isotropically Radiated Power (EIRP):

Average: -3 dBm in 1 MHz

Peak: +34 dBm in 50 MHz

●Maximum Equivalent Electric Field Intensity Allowed:

Average: 92.26 dBμV/m @ 3m, with a Resolution Bandwidth (RBW) of 1 MHz

Peak: 129.26 dBμV/m @ 3m, with a RBW of 50 MHz

The enforcement date for these changes is August 18th, 2023.

We want to highlight that foreign reports will be accepted, provided they comply with the limits set forth in the technical standard ENACOM-Q2-64.02 V22.1.

To complete the process, we kindly request an ENACOM Declaration of Conformity (DoC). The DoC should include:

- Manufacturer name and address or importer details in Argentina

- Product description, including brand and model

- A declaration of compliance with the standard ENACOM-Q2-64.02 V22.1

- Signatory identification, including name, surname, and position

- Date of submission

In Korea, the KC certification system provides various standards for evaluating the suitability of wireless devices. These standards include frequency band, output, and electric field strength. Therefore, if there is an expansion of the band allocation for radar technology, wireless devices that use the corresponding frequency band may need to undergo new suitability evaluations according to the new standards.
