The Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) participated in the 2024 IEC General Meeting (Oct 21-25, Edinburgh) and proposed the creation of a new Technical Committee (TC) for Medium Voltage Direct Current (MVDC) standards.
This initiative follows the selection of MVDC technology—proposed by Korea in May—as a key area for future standardization by the IEC.
