Samsung Electronics has unveiled its self-developed generative AI, Samsung Gauss
On November 8, 2023, Samsung Electronics unveiled its self-developed generative AI model called 'Samsung Gauss.' Samsung Gauss is an AI model developed by Samsung Research, the company's in-house AI research institute, capable of generating various forms of data, including text, images, and code.
Samsung Gauss is composed of three models: a language model for generating text, a code model for generating code, and an image model for creating images. The language model is designed for both cloud and on-device applications.
Samsung Gauss is expected to find applications across various domains. It can be utilized for tasks such as document summarization, email composition, and image editing, contributing to office automation. Furthermore, it can be harnessed in diverse fields, including content creation and the development of AI-based products.
Samsung Electronics plans to commercially launch Samsung Gauss starting in 2024.
